Pre-conference Postgraduate Courses and Meet the Expert sessions at the ATS 2025 International Conference offer young professionals several valuable opportunities to learn from leading pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine experts.

“Both of these supplemental learning programs provide a rare opportunity for participants to interact and absorb lessons from leaders across the fields of respiratory health,” said International Conference Committee Chair Debra Boyer, MD, MHPE.
The pre-conference Postgraduate Courses are offered from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. PT on Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, with half- or full-day sessions. Some Postgraduate Courses are didactic, lecture-based sessions while others offer a hands-on, skills-based learning approach. Both provide practical opportunities for attendees to gain in-depth perspectives on the latest guidelines and clinical practices from experienced specialists. These courses also integrate group tasks for participants to expand and strengthen their professional networks in an intimate environment.
Pre-registration and payment of a course fee are required to participate in Postgraduate Courses, in addition to attendees’ conference registration. Attendees who wish to attend a Postgraduate Course without registering for the International Conference will have a $60 fee added to their course registration.
Continental breakfast, lunch, and light refreshments will be provided for full-day courses.
The comprehensive list of the 20 Postgraduate Courses offered at ATS 2025 is listed below.
Meet the Expert are informal, small-group sessions for 30-50 individuals (of all ages and skill levels) interested in joining an interactive learning environment led by expert researchers, clinicians, technology or procedural expert speakers, and emerging independent academics.
Meet the Expert and Medical Education Seminars will be offered from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. from Sunday, May 18, to Tuesday, May 20; they will be scheduled from 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21.
These sessions often begin with a 20- to 30-minute lecture, followed by questions and a group discussion to explore the questions and challenges most urgent to audience members.
Seating is limited, and courses often fill up quickly, so attendees are encouraged to enroll before the International Conference. Registration for each course has a $100 enrollment fee for ATS members and non-members.
